The Board Presiding Member and the Principal have been notified that members of the PPTA have been directed to attend a Union Meeting under Section 26 of the Employment Relations Act 2000. The meeting will be held on Monday, 13 May 2024. As a result, school will finish at 12.15pm on that day.
As the majority of the teaching staff are PPTA members there will not be sufficient staff to carry on the usual teaching programme. However, non-PPTA members of staff will supervise students who wish to remain at school for study or revision. Supervised areas will be set up in the Library and the Dykes (Science) building. There will be a range of specialist teachers from across the learning areas available to supervise students. Students staying will be advised of arrangements.
Auckland Transport are no longer able to organise buses for an earlier departure time. Students using buses are to either catch public buses or wait at school until 3.20pm for the usual departure time of the school buses.
