Parent/Student/Teacher Conferencing

The dates for the conferences are:

Thursday, 19 May 3.00pm – 8.00pm
Tuesday, 24 May 3.00pm – 8.00pm

These online conferences are with the subject teachers. Discussions will include progress in assessments to date, progress towards NCEA, and discussion of the term 1 learner expectations report.

Conferences for Parents/Guardians and students will be held online using Zoom. Students must be present for the conference and log into Zoom using their own full name.

Conference times are 5 minutes to enable parents to meet more of their child(ren)'s teachers. Should more time be required in special cases, a separate meeting or phone conversation can be organised between staff and parents.

To book Virtual Parent/Subject Teacher/Student Conference appointments:

  1. Go to https://gdc.schoolpoint.co.nz/ (after 9.00am on Thursday, 12 May)
    There is detailed booking information at the above link - choose 'Help'.
  2. You can make appointments with up to 7 subject teachers. Careers, Guidance Counsellors, Learning Support Staff and the Director of International Students can be emailed directly if you wish to organise a meeting with them. For Science bookings, if your child is co-taught, they will have been informed about which teacher you should book the conference with.

Please note:

  • When making appointments it is advisable to have a gap between appointments. This enables you to navigate your way from one zoom link to another in a timely and stress-free manner.
  • If you are unable to participate in these virtual conferences but would like to speak to your child’s class teacher or Dean, please email them directly.
  • If you/we have technical difficulties on the day that prevents you from completing these virtual interviews, please email your child’s class teachers directly.
  • School will finish at 1.40pm on Thursday, 19 May and 1.40pm on Tuesday, 24 May. Auckland Transport no longer change times of school runs, students who normally catch a bus will either have to use public buses or wait for the school buses at the normal times.
  • The bookings website will close at 5.00pm on Wednesday, 18 May for Thursday's interviews. Bookings for the Tuesday, 24 May interviews will close at 5.00pm on Monday, 23 May.
