Kaiārahi

The Kaiārahi is a guide and mentor for rangatahi Māori and Pasifika students, and works as a liaison for whānau with time for extended talanoa, either by phone or email or through parent meetings or BBQ nights.

The Kaiārahi supports students in their future career pathway ambitions; connecting rangatahi to these opportunities through learning support, academic counselling and via scholarship applications.

The Kaiārahi also supports students in practical ways; finding opportunities for leadership and cultural expression - such as the Cultural Celebration Night, Matariki celebrations, haka, waiata and language weeks.

Part of the Kaiārahi's role is to build connections with local iwi and support the development of Matauranga Maori resources within the school.

Please do get in touch with the Kaiārahi if you’d like to chat for any reason.
