In preparation for class placements, Glendowie College will conduct entry testing for Year 8 students who have been accepted for Year 9 2023. The entry testing ensures a comprehensive data collection process. Specifically, the testing will include University of Canterbury's CEM (Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring) assessments in English, Mathematics and Reasoning. Class placement occurs at the end of the year when students are placed in appropriate classes within the school’s programme and timetable structure. Students will be informed of their form class on the first day of school next year.
Time: Arrival of students by 8:15am for an 8:30am start, finish at approximately 12:00 noon
Venue: Glendowie College, 21 Crossfield Road Glendowie (Gate 1), please meet in the carpark.
Parents are expected to make arrangements to collect their son/daughter at approximately 12:00 noon and return them to school.
