Years 12 & 13 Rostered Home - PPTA Industrial Action

The PPTA has informed us about the impact of its strikes, as they affect our school, during the week of 15 September 2025 (Week 10 of Term 3) and have advised our Board that its member teachers will not teach certain year groups.

The union refer to this as ‘rostering home’, but while it is lawful for the union to take strike action in which they refuse to teach certain year levels on a given day, it is for our school Board to decide what arrangements will be put in place for the affected students.

The specific arrangements for students affected by this strike action are:

  • On Monday 15 September, Year 9 - 11 students will be at school for instruction, Year 12 and Year 13 students will learn from home.
  • On Tuesday 16 September, Year 9, 10, 12 and 13 students will be at school for instruction and Year 11 students will learn from home.
  • On Wednesday 17 September, Year 9, 11, 12 and 13 students will be at school for instruction and Year 10 students will learn from home.
  • On Thursday 18 September, Year 10 - 13 students will be at school for instruction and Year 9 students will learn from home.
