The crazy crew of fundraising parents, are generally aided by our very own Gordon (Principal). Our monthly meetings include planning, negotiating, debating and laughter and are anything but boring.
We love to see new faces and the more members we have, the more we are able to achieve, and, ultimately, enhance the school for our children and future generations.
The Association’s job is to foster community spirit among parents and also raise money for the school.
We do this by catering at many functions throughout the school year and by running fundraising events -- always a great way to bring the school community together.
Our past fundraising events have included Movie Nights, Guest Speakers, Big Nights Out and more recently the Fun Run/Walk. Community fundraisers also included selling The Entertainment Book and Family Portrait sessions. See how you can participate and support us this year.
We have embraced social media and technology with our new online ticketing system www.trybooking.com for all events and volunteers required, and Facebook page where information is shared. We also feature most fortnights in the Principal's newsletter – so sign up and watch out for us.
A large part of what we do is actually unseen, working with a larger group called Friends of the PA, who volunteer time, baking, cooking dinners, and whatever is required to make events occur. For those who cannot commit to being a PA member, join this group by emailing us right now.
Such moments have been the huge force behind the Quad planting where over 200 plants and trees were carefully placed and planted by a team of staff, students and families. The PA organises over 60 dishes to feed our hungry teachers during the Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences in May. Look out for the call this year and see how you can help. We cater for the Year 9 Information evening as well.

Being on the PA is a great way to feel involved in the school and find out a bit more about what goes on than what you may learn from your teenager! It is also a forum for you to give feedback to the staff and board member and have a say on proposed changes. And we have a lot to say!!!
We meet roughly once a month in the College Staffroom on Thursdays at 7pm for about an hour. Meetings are also attended by a senior staff member and a Trustee of the Board who each give an update on events.
Our meeting dates for 2021 are: 25 February, 11 March - cancelled, 8 April, 6 May, 10 June, 1 July - cancelled, 26 August - cancelled, 2 September - cancelled and 21 October - cancelled.
